OLYMPIA — Port Angeles, Clallam County, Port of Port Angeles leaders and state lawmakers Thursday went up against a powerful lobbying coalition representing most of Puget Sound’s shipbuilding industry.
The showdown took place during a state Senate Highways and Transportation Committee hearing on Senate Bill 6050, which would restrict future use of the planned 25-acre Port Angeles graving yard.
The session was to hear comment on the bill before the committee decides whether to take any action on it.
