PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles will close a portion of the Olympic Discovery Trail for maintenance beginning at 8 a.m. today.
The trail will be closed from Ennis Creek at Rayonier Access Road to Morse Creek at Strait View Drive through Friday.
The closure will allow work crews to begin preparations for the winter in areas subject to slides and to continue long-term improvement projects.
Suggested detours are posted at www.cityofpa.us and along the trail. Both are along U.S. Highway 101 and other heavily-trafficked roads.
