PORT ANGELES — A decision on the permit and height variance necessary for the proposed Oak Street conference center has been delayed by the Planning Commission until its July 10 meeting.
Community Development Director Brad Collins on Wednesday asked that the public hearing be continued to that date while negotiations over the building height and parking issues continue between the city and developer Randal Jay Ehm.
Ehm, president of Ehm Architecture of Seattle and San Diego, has proposed a four-story, 150-room Marriott hotel and conference center on 3.75 waterfront acres at the foot of Oak Street.
The estimated cost of the center is $15 million.
