ACCORDING TO THE state Department of Transportation’s fourth quarter report, the now-defunct graving yard in Port Angeles has cost taxpayers $86.8 million.
Costs include:
* Contractor payments, $59.56 million.
* Engineering and archaeology consultants, $6.4 million.
* State-supplied materials, $5.46 million.
* Land acquisition and leases, $5 million.
* Department of Transportation contract management, $3.99 million.
* Tribal mitigation settlement, $3.44 million.
* Site exploration and design, $2.49 million.
* Landscaping, $447,000.
