PORT ANGELES — While the City Council and downtown business owners ponder a recent proposal to eliminate the city’s minimum parking requirements, another parking proposal has surfaced.
The City Council’s parking advisory committee will consider recommending diagonal parking downtown, replacing the current parallel parking system, Councilwoman Karen Rogers said.
The parking committee meets at 3 p.m. Jan. 9 at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
“If there’s enough interest, we can try it,” Rogers said. “And if it doesn’t work, we can always change it back.”
