PORT ANGELES — The community has waited more than two years for a verdict, but the courtroom has remained remarkably empty since Thomas Martin Roberts’ murder trial began.
On Wednesday morning, only Roberts’ aunt and a reporter sat in the audience of Clallam County Superior Court to hear testimony in the trial that began Monday.
Court officials, who were bracing last week for anticipated crowds, continue to screen entrants for security reasons.
