Sides in the controversy to fluoridate the Port Angeles municipal water system will face off at a public hearing before the City Council tonight.
The council convenes at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St., and the public hearing is expected to start at 7.Proponents say fluoride in the water will reduce instances of tooth decay, especially in children.
Opponents contend the act would constitute forced medication and that the compound is hazardous to bones and organs.
