PORT ANGELES — Entries are still being sought for the second annual Light the Night holiday parade in downtown Port Angeles on Saturday.

The parade begins at 6:30 p.m., with set-up beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Railroad Avenue.

It is sponsored by the Port Angeles Downtown Association.

Businesses, individuals, school classes, service and social clubs and other organizations are invited to join this illuminated holiday event.

There’s no charge.

Participants will march with lanterns and luminaries using glowsticks, strings of battery-operated holiday lights and flashlights — no open flames, please.

Light-decorated vehicles and floats are welcome to join the procession.

To get a parade entry application and reserve your spot in Saturday’s line-up, contact the downtown association at 360-457-9614, or e-mail director@portangelesdowntown.com.

Twinkle parade

In Forks, the fifth annual Twinkle Light Holiday Parade through downtown will start at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Spectators can line up between C Street and Sol Duc Way.

Those who wish to avoid the parade traffic will be diverted onto Spartan Way.

Each float or other parade entry will have lights and festive decor.

As always, Santa Claus and his reindeer will end the procession.

Nothing will be passed out or thrown during the parade due to the darkness of the hour.

The parade is sponsored by JT’s Sweet Stuffs, 80 N. Forks Ave.

It will be followed by annual Moonlight Madness sale by Forks merchants from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

For more information, phone 360-374-6111.
