PUYALLUP — Revenge or not, Kentlake is going to be hard to stop. The Port Angeles High School girls basketball team was the latest to find out.
The fifth-ranked Falcons (21-2), who have not lost to an in-state opponent this season, rolled by the unranked Roughriders 63-42 Friday in the second round of the West Central District 4A Tournament.
The Riders (18-5) next play Olympia at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in a loser-out game. That contest will also be held at Puyallup High.
Kentlake qualified for the state tournament with the win, its 15th straight, and will play Thomas Jefferson in the district semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Auburn High School.
Port Angeles has made state the past four years.
