Gov. Gary Locke will visit the North Olympic Peninsula on Thursday for about six hours as part of his “Jobs Now” tour around the state.
During his visit to Port Angeles, Locke will tour the waterfront, participate in an economic roundtable and visit the public library.
The roundtable discussion will be at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., between 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
“His goal is to visit cities that would benefit from projects in his capital budget — and/or who have underwent extensive economic development projects,” said Kirsten Kendrick, deputy communications director for the governor’s office, said late last week.
Government, community, business and tribal leaders have been invited to participate in the roundtable.
