PORT ANGELES — This year’s Fourth of July Grand Parade due to promenade through downtown on Monday aims to recognize the volunteer spirit alive and well in Port Angeles.
Sponsored by Kitsap Bank, the parade will feature 71 entries, ranging from floats to classic cars, said Nancy Sievers, operations manager at the bank.
But that number may increase or decrease, she said.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if we get somebody that just shows up,” Sievers said.
“I also wouldn’t be surprised if one or two didn’t show up.”
Parade entries range from the Clallam County Democratic and Republican parties to a septic tank pumping company and a square-dancing club.
Scheduled to start at 6 p.m., the parade is expected to last 50 to 75 minutes, said Russ Veenema, executive director for the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce, which is helping put on the show.
