Tonight’s Port Angeles Planning Commission agenda includes discussion about eliminating business parking regulations and granting a “shoreline substantial development permit application” for the state Department of Transportation’s planned graving dock yard.
The state is in negotiations with the Port of Port Angeles for waterfront property for the facility, which would build the new eastern half of Hood Canal Bridge.
Planning commissioners also will consider a recommendation to the City Council on eliminating regulations requiring a set number of business parking spots and allowing businesses to plan their own parking needs in commercial and industrial zones.
