PORT ANGELES — Where and how do you dispose of 170,000 cubic yards of soil dug out of the state’s proposed graving yard?
Rayonier Inc. officials believe their former Ennis Street pulp mill site may be the answer.
How the soil is moved will be up to the state Department of Transportation’s graving yard contractor, said Jerry Moore, Transportation’s Olympic Region project manager in Port Angeles.
There are two options:
* 8,000 dump truck loads rolling from Ediz Hook through downtown to the mill site.
* By barge through Port Angeles Harbor.
