PORT ANGELES Negotiations that began last week over the state Department of Transportation graving yard plan for the Port of Port Angeles are “progressing.”
Port Executive Director Clyde Boddy said he still needs to brief Port commissioners regarding the status and declined to say more than that.
In October, Port Angeles was selected for a graving yard needed to build components for the Hood Canal Bridge replacement project in 2006.
The state would oversee the building of cement pontoons and anchors to replace worn-out components in the eastern half of the floating span linking Jefferson and Kitsap counties.
