An insurance inspector is expected today to review the cause of Sunday morning’s hangar fire at William R. Fairchild International Airport in Port Angeles.
The Port of Port Angeles, which operates the airport, also had to move an adjacent tenant because of extensive smoke damage, Port Interim Executive Director Clyde Boddy said Tuesday.
Angeles Communications will temporarily work out of another building at the airport, Boddy said.
The fire started on a tractor used for mowing and snow removal, city fire investigators said. The equipment had last been used Saturday.
Officials earlier estimated damage at $300,000.
