PORT ANGELES — Price Ford Lincoln of Port Angeles donated $5,600 to Port Angeles High School on Friday.
The money came from the Oct. 7 Drive One 4 UR School fundraiser.
The money raised will go to the Career and Technical Education program, Leadership, and Science clubs, said Joel Elliott, sales manager and event coordinator.
Elliott said 293 people came out to drive new Ford and Lincoln vehicles.
Said David Price, owner of Price Ford Lincoln: “It’s always a pleasure to see such a multitude of people come out and support Port Angeles High School.
“Price Ford is overjoyed and extremely proud to be a part of that support and give back to the community.”
Price Ford Lincoln has raised just shy of $30,000 for PAHS programs through the Drive One 4 UR School fundraiser, Price said.
All the money raised goes to extracurricular programs.
“The Drive One 4 UR School event is a great opportunity to work with the high school students in supporting our school while also showcasing our class-leading Ford and Lincoln vehicles,” Price said.
Nationwide, more than $12 million has been raised for high school activities since 2007 when the Ford Motor Co.’s Drive One 4 UR School program began.
“Not only as a Price Ford employee, but as a parent of two former Port Angeles High School students, I feel as though fundraising has always been essential for school programs,” Elliott said.
Ford vehicles including the new Ford trucks, Mustang, Focus, Explorer, Flex, Escape, Fusion, as well as new Lincoln vehicles were at the event.
