PORT ANGELES — The executive vice chair of a major Canadian hotel and resort company is applauding developer Jerry Ward’s choice of the former Rayonier pulp mill site for a $122 million-plus timeshare condominium resort.
“I can’t think of a more appropriate place,” said Terrance Royer, executive vice chairman of Royal Host Hotel and Resorts of Calgary, Alberta, on Wednesday.
The company is considering managing Ward’s timeshare condos, proposed aquarium and water park, as well as the conference and performing arts centers on the Rayonier site.
Ward hopes to buy the 75-acre property from Rayonier by August 2004 and begin construction in spring 2005.
