Port Angeles: Killer to move into less-restrictive ward, but remain in mental hospital for at least 2 years

PORT ANGELES — Bruce Rowan will not be moved off the Western State Hospital campus for at least two years.

The former emergency room physician who killed his wife in 1998 is “simply not prepared to enter the community,” Clallam County Superior Court Judge George L. Wood said in a decision made public Friday.
