Business and civic leaders tie on aprons and dish out spaghetti tonight (Friday) to raise money for the Port Angeles Food Bank.
The seventh annual spaghetti dinner fund-raiser runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chestnut Cottage restaurant, 929 E. Front St.
All proceeds, including tips, will be donated to the food bank.
Just show up — no reservations are necessary. The dinner price for adults is $6.95. The cost for children older than 5 is $3.50. Children 5 or younger eat free.
Door prizes and raffle items will be awarded throughout the night.
Prizes include gift certificates from various local stores and restaurants and a Seattle bed-and-breakfast package.
Last year, 263 dinners were served, generating $4,590.
Organizers hope to top that amount this year.
Former Port Angeles Mayor Larry Doyle and his wife, Genelle, are hosts for the event.
