PORT ANGELES –Magician Joey Pipia will hold a free afternoon magic workshop for children and an evening show for families on Saturday.
At the afternoon workshop, Pipia says, he will perform “an incredible trick”‘ first, then will teach those attending a magic trick they can show their friends — “so later when other people see it, they get to experience great magic, too.”
Saturday’s workshop begins at 2 p.m. in the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
Pipia lives in Port Townsend and has performed on TV and stages nationwide.
He says the workshop is for children age 7 and up. Parents and other adults are welcome, too.
Saturday night magic
The evening magic show will be presented at the Senior Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St., at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 at the door, with tickets available at 7 p.m. Seating is limited.
Pipia’s evening performance is a “close-up show.”
As opposed to large illusions that take place at a distance on a stage, this magic happens just inches away from the audience’s eyes.
The afternoon workshop is sponsored by Port Angeles Rotary Club, Port Angeles Kiwanis, Peninsula Daily News and Port Angeles Library.
