PORT ANGELES — MagnaForce Inc. officials say they have developed new magnetic-levitation technology which is “a revolutionary mode of moving.”
During a City Council meeting Tuesday night, city officials authorized MagnaForce to use a section of the former Milwaukee Railroad right-of-way for creation of a testbed for LEVX, the company’s new magnetic-levitation, or mag-lev, transportation system.
Port of Port Angeles officials have also agreed to help the company expand its operation near the William R. Fairchild International Airport, which is located in close proximity to the former railroad bed west of 18th Street.
