PORT TOWNSEND — Two Port Angeles people suffered minor injuries when a driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel on state Highway 19 and rolled the car.
Sean R. Tamburro, 26, was treated at the scene of the one-car wreck at Milepost 3 at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday, said the State Patrol, which cited him for second-degree negligent driving.
Kayla L. Wishart, 21, was treated and discharged from Jefferson Healthcare later Wednesday, said hospital spokesperson Amy Yaley.
The State Patrol said that Tamburro was headed south on Highway 19 when he fell asleep, and the 1991 Honda Accord he was driving left the roadway to the right and rolled once before it came to rest on its tires facing southbound.
Both people in the car were wearing seat belts.
Drugs or alcohol were not involved in the wreck, the State Patrol said.
The car was towed away.
