PORT ANGELES — A 40-year-old Port Angeles man died when his SUV left the roadway on O’Brien Road shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday said Chief Criminal Deputy Amy Bundy of the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
Brandon Birkland was declared dead at the scene, she said.
Birkland was driving southbound when his vehicle crossed the roadway in the 3200 block of O’Brien Road, Bundy said. The vehicle drove off the side of the road into salala bushes, traveled 150 feet and rolled onto its top, she said.
No other occupants were in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved.
The cause remains under investigation.
