PORT ANGELES — A 16-year-old female remained in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center Tuesday night, a day after the car she was in was struck by a Clallam County Sheriff’s Department patrol car.
Valentina C. Forstar, a passenger in the vehicle that allegedly pulled out in front of the patrol car, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with pelvic injuries Monday following the crash.
Three other passengers and the driver were treated and released from Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles, a nursing supervisor said.
Deputy Sheriff Mel Kempf, 42, was uninjured in the crash and was back on patrol Tuesday, Sgt. Nick Turner said.
Kempf was eastbound on East First Street when Susan A. Philipsen, 40, of Port Angeles, allegedly drove her 1997 Nissan Sentra into the path of the patrol car, Turner said.
