PORT ANGELES — The two groups seeking to buy the dilapidated pink waterfront building off Railroad Avenue will meet again Dec. 1 to continue their discussions on a possible compromise.
“Timber Town didn’t have all the numbers they hoped for and the state Department of Natural Resources still needs more time to figure out logistics,” said Daniel Gase, president of Coldwell Banker Uptown Realty.
“So we agreed to wait until Dec. 1 to give people time to get things together.
“Things are heading in the right direction, one way or another.”
Olympic Timber Town President Lee Embree said the nonprofit group is wading through paperwork to make buying the pink building a reality.
The state Department of Natural Resources has offered to sell the 800-square-foot building west of the MV Coho ferry landing for $1 if the owner will pay for its removal.
