The Port Angeles Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of a proposed 30-lot subdivision on the city’s east side Wednesday night.
The Ennis Creek Estates property is located behind Joshua’s Restaurant and Lounge, 112 DelGuzzi Drive.
The preliminary plat calls for 30 residential lots, three community areas, one detention pond and a 19.65-acre environmentally sensitive area.
The city took over the property in April 1999 after a developer defaulted on bond payments for a local improvement district used to develop the project.
If the city doesn’t sell the property, it must make a $890,000 balloon payment on the bonds, which is due Sept. 1, 2003.
