PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles police continue to work with federal investigators as they search for a man who robbed Umpqua Bank on Tuesday.
The investigation into the Umpqua Bank robbery at 1033 E. First St. is “open and active,” said Deputy Police Chief Brian Smith on Friday, adding that he had nothing new to report.
Police began working with FBI investigators Wednesday.
Bank surveillance photos show the robber is a gray-haired man in his 60s.
He wore glasses, a dark-hooded jacket, light-colored pants and brown shoes when he entered the bank at about 11:30 a.m.
Police report he brandished a handgun and demanded money from a teller. He fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
