PORT ANGELES — Police are investigating an early-morning shooting near Shane Park in Port Angeles.
The man, who was not identified because of an ongoing investigation, was shot twice, and has been discharged from Olympic Medical Center, police said.
Port Angeles police were called to OMC at 1:25 a.m. Staff there reported that a patient had been injured by two apparent gunshot wounds, said Port Angeles Deputy Chief Brian Smith.
Detectives from the Port Angeles Police Department, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office and Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team were looking for “persons of interest” late Friday morning, he said.
“Based on what we know about the case right now, this shooting involved people who knew each other,” Smith said.
Smith said a task force was interviewing witnesses and investigating the crime scene today.
