PORT ANGELES — A revised proposal for a public golf course on a 113-acre site between Edgewood Drive and William R. Fairchild International Airport could be presented to Port commissioners in February.
A trio of golf course supporters met with city officials last week to talk about the proposal, said City Parks and Recreation Director Marc Connelly.
They also discussed the possibility of updating a 1996 marketing and feasibility study for a prior golf course proposal, he said.
Connelly was appointed in 2002 to oversee the golf course effort after the city took it over from the Port of Port Angeles, but the Port still must approve leasing the property for the project.
