PORT ANGELES — The Port is willing to look at a long-term lease on 113 acres it owns between the airport and Edgewood Drive for a public golf course — as long as no Port money is used.
Port of Port Angeles commissioners decided Monday to send a letter expressing that sentiment to consultants Tom Sanford from Aviation Golf Services and Craig Martin from Martin Design Partnership.
The pair had addressed the commissioners in March. They concluded that the golf course could work if marketed properly, but an adjacent 50 acres would be needed to properly develop the project.
