PORT ANGELES — Final interviews for Port of Port Angeles executive director candidates would be held in mid-June according to a search schedule presented to Port commissioners Monday.
In the meantime, interviews during the next few weeks with community and civic groups about the job description and salary will precede the recruiting process, said Ed Rogan from Seattle search consultant Waldron & Co.
Waldron was selected by the commissioners last month to search for the replacement for retiring Executive Director Clyde Boddy.
An open house to get the public’s feedback on the finalists also might be scheduled, Rogan said.
Port commissioners on Monday approved a contract with Waldron that will pay the recruitment firm 25 percent of the future executive director’s salary, plus expenses.
It is payable in three installments, two of $8,500 plus the remaining balance.
The new executive director is expected to earn between $90,000 and $95,000 annually.
