The public is invited to comment on the design of the new Jefferson School at a meeting tonight, Port Angeles School District officials said.
People may join the meeting at the school, 218 E. 12th Street, anytime between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Engineers and architects will draw designs suggested by those at the meeting. Cost estimators will calculate expenses of various designs.
Architects, engineers and cost estimators will also talk with school employees, students, and steering committee members, then refine the ideas into a detailed plan.
Demolition of the existing school is scheduled to start after school ends in June. The new building should be finished in the fall of 2002, school officials have said.
