PORT ANGELES — The cleanup process at Rayonier’s pulp mill site could take about four years to complete, business leaders were told Monday.
In the meantime, the company has completed paperwork that will allow extension of the Waterfront Trail through the Rayonier property.
Dana Dolloff, director of environmental affairs for Rayonier Inc., spoke at the weekly Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce luncheon Monday.
Rayonier officials hope to make public in February a work plan for mill site cleanup, followed by community meetings for public comment beginning in March, he said.
“This is a very lengthy and involved project that involves various processes,” Dolloff said.
