Melissa Penic’s dream of owning an art gallery came true, but the hurdles were high.
She owns and operates Reigning Visions Artwork gallery and Elite Espresso at the Landing Mall in Port Angeles, but first she had to recuperate from 13 strokes in 1979 — strokes that resulted in memory loss and speech impairment at the age of 28.
“That’s not easy for someone with a photographic memory and a ‘Type A’ personality who loves to talk,” she says.
