PORT ANGELES — Congressman Norm Dicks vowed Thursday afternoon to stop the $3 surcharge on international ferry trips and ensure the simultaneous removal of the two Elwha River dams.
He also said he wants to find a solution to inequitable Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements, saying a Bush administration official’s statement that there wasn’t a problem with the system was “just wrong.”
Rep. Dicks’ comments came during a luncheon meeting Thursday with community business leaders and a separate meeting with Peninsula Daily News editors.
