PORT ANGELES — A city resident was arrested on a felony warrant after a “very brief attempt to flee” on U.S. Highway 101 on Wednesday, Port Angeles police Sgt. Jason Viada said.
Clifford Hanning, 29, was arrested without further incident at Monroe Road just east of the city, Viada said.
He was spotted driving a purple Dodge minivan by Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives, Viada said.
He was pursued by Port Angeles police and a Clallam County sheriff’s deputy.
Hanning had been on probation with the state Department of Corrections warrant, Viada said.
