PORT ANGELES — School district officials are preparing for the potential impact of expected state funding cuts.
Superintendent Gary Cohn said an eight-member committee consisting of district staff, a School Board member and a parent began working two months ago to develop a series of community statements on educational funding.
The statements are based on the upcoming replacement maintenance and operations levy election, the planned Day of Action teacher rally Jan. 14 and expected funding cuts.
