The Port Angeles School District’s board of directors will establish a budget for the Monroe fields project when they meet at 7 p.m. Thursday.
An executive session is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., and a budget development work session is slated for 6 p.m.
The meetings will be on Zoom. To register for the webinar, go to https://tinyurl.com/PDN-PASDMeeting. Participants will receive a confirmation email afterward with information about how to join the meeting.
Board directors will consider the advantages and disadvantages of several options for the Monroe fields project following a presentation from Nolan Duce, the school district’s director of maintenance and operations.
The costs range from about $418,000 for a basic grass field with drainage and plumbed for lights to about $2.4 million with synthetic turf, lights and fencing, plus a perimeter walking path and a second basic field.
Two other options have cost estimates of about $925,000 and $1.6 million.
School board directors also will consider renewing the district’s contract with Sodexo, its food service provider.
