The Port Angeles School District has officially hired Gary Cohn as superintendent.
Cohn’s annual salary for the first year of the three-year contract will be $101,995.
“It is a median salary of a superintendent with a student population” about the size of the Port Angeles district, said Charlie McClain, school board president. The school district is expected to have 4,563 students for 2001-2002.
Cohn, who was the vice president of Lake Washington Technical College in Kirkland, begins as superintendent Sept. 1.
