PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles is looking for just the right tree for display over the Christmas holidays at the Conrad Dyar Memorial Fountain on Laurel Street in downtown Port Angeles.
The lighting of this special tree during the Thanksgiving weekend traditionally signals the beginning of the Christmas season in Port Angeles.
The ideal tree should be 35 to 40 feet tall.
A thicker or fuller tree is preferred for easier decorating.
The city will pick up the tree between Joyce and Sequim as long as its location is easily accessible by boom truck.
The owner of the selected tree will be recognized by special mayoral proclamation and will be featured on the city’s website.
