PORT ANGELES — U.S. Sen. Patty Murray is interested in the LEVX magnetic-levitation transportation system being developed by Magna Force Inc., her press secretary says.
But Todd Webster added says the Democratic senator from Seattle has been busy and not able to schedule time to visit the Port Angeles company to see LEVX first-hand.
Webster said in a telephone interview Friday that at least two of the senator’s staffers have already witnessed the company’s system levitate a car using magnetic fields.
And a third, Dale Learn, is expected to visit Magna Force today, he said.
Learn is Murray’s legislative assistant specializing in transportation issues.
Murray is the chair of the Senate’s Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee.
Magna Force spokeswoman Karen Rogers confirmed Friday that she had been in contact with Murray’s staff, and that Learn was scheduled to arrive today.
