Census 2000 information is forcing Olympic Medical Center commissioner districts to be redrawn this year.
Legal counsel Craig L. Miller advised hospital commissioners of the requirement during a meeting this week in Port Angeles.
“Redistricting must be accomplished within eight months of receipt of the federal census data by the Clallam County auditor, forwarded to her by the state Redistricting Commission,” Miller said.
The data were received by the county April 28. Redistricting of medical center districts must be completed by Dec. 28.
Redistricting of OMC districts was last done in 1979, Miller said.
