“It might have hugged the higher terrain,” particularly through Port Angeles and Sequim, he said.

“It doesn’t appear to have been as heavy in Forks.”

Snowfall was scant in East Jefferson County.

Clallam County Public Utility District reported one outage in the east Sequim Bay area on Wednesday afternoon but power was restored by late afternoon.

Port Angeles Light Operations Manager Jim Klarr said three power poles on Ediz Hook were replaced Wednesday after being toppled by high winds about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Otherwise the city’s electricity customers experienced “only a few spotty power outages.”

The Coast Guard and Neah Bay Public Safety reported no problems through Wednesday afternoon.
