Port Angeles and Sequim will celebrate the Fourth of July with an array of activities including parades, public concerts, a flag-raising ceremony, a community picnic — and fireworks.
On the bill of fare for America’s birthday weekend:
* In Port Angeles, the celebration will feature concerts on City Pier, fireworks over Port Angeles Harbor and a parade that winds through the downtown.

* In Sequim, Independence Day celebrations will center around a community festival and parade.
The Museum and Arts Center is sponsoring a free community picnic at Carrie Blake Park from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A flag-raising ceremony, a car exhibit, live music and clowns will be part of the festivities at the park located at 202 N. Blake Road.
* At Diamond Point, a parade featuring outrageous costumes, old cars and other eye-catching items will start at 10 a.m.
