Candidates for three Port Angeles City Council seats and two Sequim council posts have ended their campaigns and await tonight’s election results.
In the Port Angeles Position 3 race to replace retiring Councilman Orville Campbell, retired Rayonier executive Grant Munro is facing Port Angeles Planning Commissioner Fred Norton.
In Port Angeles’ Position 2 race, motivational speaker Cherie Kidd is facing retired city Public Works Director Jack Pittis. The seat is being vacated by Glenn Wiggins.
The third Port Angeles council race, for Position 1, features incumbent Lauren Erickson, a deputy county prosecutor, and Peter Ripley, an on-line newspaper publisher-commentator.
In Sequim, the Position 2 race pits appointed Councilwoman Patricia Kasovia-Schmitt against Scott Moore, a county road department maintenance worker.
And another Sequim council appointee, Don Hall, a quality assurance manager, faces Dick Foster, a planning commissioner and retired general contractor, for Position 4.
