A small, shallow earthquake centered near Port Angeles jolted parts of the North Olympic Peninsula late Thursday night.
University of Washington seismologists gave the “micro earthquake”‘ a preliminary reading of 2.5. The temblor occurred at 10:38 p.m. and was centered about 5 miles southeast of Port Angeles.
Its depth was only about 0.7 mile below the surface, the seismology report said.
