PORT ANGELES — Stopping short of a formal endorsement, the City Parks and Recreation Commission told proponents of a skate park Thursday to do more research and come back later.
Melanie Anderson-McCaughan broached the issue of a skate park with commissioners and spoke on behalf of about a dozen skaters attending the parks commission meeting Thursday.
Skate park proponents weren’t yet ready to propose a location or address fund-raising yet, but were seeking parks commission endorsement, Anderson-McCaughan said
“I think there’s a consensus that it’s a worthwhile project that needs pursued,” Commission Chairman David Morris said.
