BELLINGHAM — Reuben Martinez, of Port Angeles, is one of 10 students at Western Washington University to receive a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for overseas study.
Martinez, an economics major, will study in Japan during his senior year.
According to a press release, Gilman Scholarships range from $1,000 to $8,000 and are awarded on a competitive basis.
