Port Angeles survey asks about housing needs

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Community and Economic Development department is seeking input for a housing needs assessment.

The survey is available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/PortAngelesHousing Survey.

Survey takers are asked to rate their existing housing situation, the Port Angeles housing market, identify who is disadvantaged in the market, suggest types of housing development and rate possible housing solutions.

“Our objective is to develop policies and programs that provide housing that is affordable for all city resident households,” city officials said in a Tuesday announcement.

Each of those who completes the 27-question survey receives a free coupon to swim at William Shore Memorial Pool and are eligible to be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift certificate to a city establishment or a prepaid credit card.

“We would like to know your opinions about current housing conditions, preferences and priorities,” according to an introduction to the survey.

For information about the survey or the housing planning process, phone Community and Economic Development Director Allyson Brekke at 360-417- 4751 or email at abrekke@cityofpa.us.
