Nikki McGoff of Port Angeles stands with Seattle Mariners catcher Rob Johnson after she threw out tonight’s ceremonial first pitch at the Seattle Mariners game at Safeco Field.
McGoff’s mound appearance highlighted the team’s second annual Salute to Volunteers Night, and she was flanked by recipients of the 2009 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award, including Eleanor Tschimperle of Port Angeles and Mike Marson of Port Townsend.
Nikki, a Port Angeles High School sophomore, was selected from among the volunteers to throw the first pitch to Johnson.
